Nor-Cal Products' origins date back to 1948 when the company's predecessor began designing and manufacturing stainless steel vacuum pumping stations for the dairy industry. With the development of the ion pump by Varian Associates ten years later, the vacuum industry began a rapid growth that has never slowed.

Standard products include high vacuum and UHV flanges, weld fittings, valves, foreline traps, flexible hoses, viewports, liquid & electrical feedthroughs, bell jars, baseplates, feedthrough collars, manipulators, and custom vacuum chambers. All components are made from 304 stainless steel but parts can be made from fired 316L stainless steel for extreme UHV range applications.
