
DR. DANIEL MITCHELL JOINS INTLVAC AS CHIEF TECHNICAL OFFICER OF THIN FILM OPERATIONS

Intlvac is pleased to announce that Dr. Daniel Mitchell has been hired as the company’s Chief Technical Officer of thin film operations. Dr. Mitchell has over 15 years experience in thin film technologies. He will develop coating services using our new PARMS coating systems. (Plasma-Assisted Reactive Magnetron Sputtering)
Dr. Mitchell has served as Senior Engineering Physicist for ELCAN Optical Technologies - a role which saw him overseeing thin film design and development. Dr. Mitchell also served as Assistant Manager of R&D, Coating, at Applied Physics Specialties, focused on production, process engineering and research and development.
He holds his Ph.D. and M.Sc. from McMaster University and completed his B.Sc. at the University of Waterloo. He is first inventor on several patents and patent applications.
Intlvac manufactures a wide range of systems for Physical Vapor Deposition using a variety of techniques. Intlvac also manufactures Ion Beam Sputter Etch systems.
